🙏 Međugorje – Sanctuary of the Queen of Peace

Međugorje is one of the most famous Catholic pilgrimage destinations in the world, visited by around one million believers each year. It became widely known in 1981 through the apparitions of the Virgin Mary and has since remained a place of prayer, peace, and spiritual renewal.

The central gathering place is St. James Church, while Apparition Hill (Brdo Ukazanja) and Cross Mountain (Križevac) are the most visited sites for prayer and pilgrimage. Many symbols of faith are associated with these sites – the statue of the Queen of Peace, the Blue Cross, and the Stations of the Cross.

The Adoration Chapel, built in 1991, provides a space for personal prayer and quiet adoration, and Međugorje remains one of the most important centers of spiritual life in Europe today.
